The Spacefunk anthology Kickstarter is officially live! Please click below to support the upcoming short story anthology organized and edited by the infinitely talented Milton J. Davis and starring all black, African, and African American authors and poets! No amount is too small. Back in 2011, a conversation began online. The subject? Steampunk. The discussion? The lack of diversity among steampunk authors. It was a vigorous and intense discussion, with many diverse authors expressing the desire to write such stories from an African/African Diaspora perspective and many people wanting to read such stories. So being a publisher I said, ‘Let’s do it!’ And that’s how the Steamfunk! Anthology, and the Funk series was born.

And here we are thirteen years later. Spacefunk! will be our newest and final addition to the Funk! anthology series. We put out the call to writers, poets and artist to share their visions of space, and they answered! Spacefunk! will be a collection of almost 50 poems and stories, accented by amazing artwork. Our authors range from new published to award winning veterans. The one thing they have in common? All agree that Space is the Place!
